'DAZED-Inspired' Editorial Shoot
Although this project had been conducted as my final piece during my college qualification, I remain proud of the research, skill and dedication that went into this work. I had been inspired by the cultural significance and style of Dazed Magazine. After thorough research, I decided to crochet garments/props to be worn by models in an editorial-style photo shoot. The brief planned to convey the parts of my life which contributed to my identity. I wanted to reflect the cultural juxtaposition that I had experienced being raised in an urban area of London while frequently visiting and living with my grandparents in a rural village in the countryside where I had been taught skills like crochet and gardening. These factors influenced the location, fashion and style of the shoot. This project contributed 60% towards my qualification and I was awarded A* A* A* equivalent.
